On the left there is a Millinery Shop, The Bazaar, Benson’s Pharmacy in the Bank Building and Lurch’s Store. On the right, a drug store, Telegraph Office, laundry, Bartels Meats, Knickerbocker Building, Hotel Oregon and in the distance Griffin Hardware.

Millinery Shops were quite popular in the early days of Cottage Grove, at one time there were three downtown. Millinery isn’t a word that we hear much these days, do you know what it means?
